.tk isnt professional. People need to stop judging things on the cost. Just because something is free you say its better when its really not......


1. tk is ad supported with 2 popups & a redirection link. Which means it doesnt even go directly to your website. It goes to .tk website and people click a link to your subdomain/site url.

2. You dont own the .tk domains. They are not your property and it can be banned or took at anytime. If you have control over a real domain youre the owner of it. With a real .com or .net domain it cant be suspended or deleted.
With a real domain its also illegally registered under your name.

3. Since .tk isnt a real domain you cant place a mailing server under it.You dont have a you@yoursite.com email....the .tk email is only a email redirection. You cant start a mailing service or even email anyone back with your@yoursite.tk but you can with a real domain You also cant create databases under it. You cant because its unparkable. tk domains are basically another sites domain which redirect to yours. If you buy a domain you can start a redirection service in other words.

4. Real domains are professional. If youre trying to run a site off a ".tk" domain people will think its shitty before they go to it. When you see "yoursite.tk" what do you think. Compare it to "yoursite.com".

5. Its easier to get traffic & listed on search engines. You have never seen a free .tk domain on top of a search engine listing have you?

6. Most importantly .tk domains are worthless. Say you get 10,000 unique hits + a day on a .tk domain & at the top of search engines. The .tk domain isnt really owned by you meaning you cant sell it. To top that it isnt really a domain but only a redirection. Now if you get 10,000 unique hits + a day on a real domain you can sell it for up to $5000.
